Jr Powerplant Engineer

Position Overview: Join our dynamic Powerplant Engineering Team as a Junior Powerplant Engineer, where you'll have the chance to engage in critical tasks related to engine maintenance and modification processes. This temporary role is ideal for individuals passionate about engineering, particularly in the aviation sector, and offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Technical Oriented: 

  • Review engine paperwork and previous shop visit documentation to familiarize yourself with standard procedures and specifications. 

  • Learn to provide technical assistance and direction to Production teams to address engine-related issues under supervision. 

  • Help prepare Engineering Highlight and Investigation reports by compiling data and findings. 

  • Work across departments to understand the preparation of work scope proposals for potential customers. 

  • Collaborate with engineers to learn about interfacing with engine OEMs to resolve technical inquiries. 

  • Assist in writing and updating Technical Orders and other documentation under the guidance of experienced engineers. 

  • Participate in the Work Review Board (WRB) process, learning how to create and manage requests. 

  • Observe and participate in troubleshooting on-wing engine problems to gain practical experience. 

Customer Oriented: 

  • Assist in managing shop visits for engines, learning about the engineering responsibilities involved during each phase (Induction – Disassembly – Assembly). 

  • Observe and document shop findings to assist the shop visit administration team in making recommendations for work scope changes. 

 Requirements:

Education: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, University or Master’s degree in an Engineering-related field, ideally focused on Aviation or Gas Turbine Engines. 

Skills: 

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. 

  • Basic knowledge of SAP functions is a plus. 

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau is advantageous.
