Tasks:
- Requesting freight quotes (road, air, sea) from authorized forwarding partners for piece part, engine and engine stand shipments and nominate forwarder based on costs, quality and customer service aspects
- Coordinating and monitoring shipments, analyzing irregularities and initiating corrective actions
- Monitoring legally compliant customs handling at origin and destination
- Monitoring all transport related documents are being archived in the MLS documentation software.
- In case of transport damages, compiling incident reports and all relevant documentation for claims processing.
- Support the integration of Transport/Logistics processes into the lease and asset management process landscape.
- Contribute to projects involving Transportation, Customs, Logistics, and Foreign Trade.
- Assist in the development of internal training materials related to Transportation and Logistics and give advice to other internal departments
- Support the operational management, development and improvement of our various Logistics warehouses worldwide
- Support the Senior Transport and Logistics Manager in continuous process and transport cost optimization
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree, logistics or business administartion desirable
- Relevant aviation industry experience
- Ability to handle multiple duties / priorities on a daily basis
- Willingness to work in an international environment
- Detail oriented, structured and able to prioritize
- Good IT skills, in particular MS Office
- Conversational level of English language
